The ureter can become obstructed due to conditions such as kidney stones, tumors, infection, or blood clots. When this happens, physicians can use image guidance to place stents or tubes in the ureter to restore the flow of urine to the bladder. A ureteral stent is a thin, flexible tube threaded into the ureter.

Superior capsule reconstruction (SCR) is a promising alternative treatment for irreparable posterosuperior rotator cuff tears (Figure 1). It utilizes a graft from the superior glenoid to the greater tuberosity to stabilize the humeral head. In a study by Mihata and colleagues of 23 patients who underwent SCR with a fascia lata autograft at a minimum of 2 years follow-up, the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES) score improved significantly from 23.5 preoperatively to 92.9. Postoperative MRI showed 83% of patients had intact reconstructions with no progression of muscle atrophy.

If youโ€™re asking yourself โ€˜whatโ€™s the cause of my knee pain?โ€™ or โ€˜what kind of knee pain do I have?โ€™ (so that you can look up solutions to your knee pain on YouTube) the position of your knee pain will tell you a lot.

THE MOST COMMON KNEE PAIN TYPES?
Knee pain during running (or actually kneecap pain while running) is usually just thatโ€ฆ Runnerโ€™s Knee (PATELLOFEMORAL PAIN SYNDROME, or itโ€™s old name: Chondromalacia Patella) If you get knee pain while cycling it will often be the same thing. Same with knee pain with stairs.

Knee pain while squatting could be Runnerโ€™s Knee, but if you get pain in the tendon below the kneecap, itโ€™s more likely to be Patellar Tendonitis or Jumperโ€™s Knee.

Meniscus Tears will give you pain on the inside of the knee that is a localised pain, can feel as if it gets stuck, or feel like itโ€™s going to give way, and often itโ€™s hard to fully straighten or fully bend your knee.

Knee pain on the outside of the knee is usually Iliotibial Band Syndrome

ALSO COVERED:
Infrapatellar Fat Pad Syndrome (Hoffa's Syndrome)
Osgood-Schlatter Disease
Medial Collateral Ligament Tear
Iliotibial Band Syndrome
Osteoarthritic Knee Pain
Pes Anserine Bursitis.
Quadriceps Tendinopathy
Popliteus Strain
Bakerโ€™s Cyst
ACL Or PCL Tear/Rupture

Colon polyp facts Colon polyps are growths on the inner lining of the colon and are very common. Colon polyps are important because they may be, or may become malignant (cancerous). They also are important because based on their size, number, and microscopic anatomy (histology); they can predict which patients are more likely to develop more polyps and colon cancer. Changes in the genetic material of cells lining the colon are the cause of polyps. There are different types of colon polyps with differing tendencies to become malignant and abilities to predict the development of more polyps and cancer. It is important to recognize families with members who have familial genetic conditions causing polyps because some of these conditions are associated with a very high incidence of colon cancer, and the cancer can be prevented or discovered early.

Decompression is a surgical procedure that is performed to alleviate pain caused by pinched nerves (neural impingement). During a lumbar decompression back surgery, a small portion of the bone over the nerve root and/or disc material from under the nerve root is removed to give the nerve root more space and provide a better healing environment. There are two common types of spine surgery decompression procedures: Microdiscectomy Lumbar Microdiscectomy Microdiscectomy Surgery Video A microdiscectomy (a microdecompression) is typically performed for pain from a lumbar herniated disc. The surgery is considered reliable for leg pain caused by the herniated disc, most commonly called sciatica by patients, and most commonly referred to by medical practitioners as a radiculopathy.
