Editorial Policy
MedicalVideos.com exists to make medicine understandable. Trust is the product: every video, article and guide on this site is published under the standards on this page, and this page is updated whenever those standards change.
Who is behind the site
MedicalVideos.com was founded in 2007 by Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim, MD, PhD, a physician-scientist, and is edited by him. The site is operated by Kidney Zone LLC.
How videos are selected
- Videos are chosen for teaching value: clear demonstration, sound technique, and relevance to patients, students or clinicians.
- Uploads are restricted and reviewed before publication; nothing appears on the site unreviewed.
- Videos that no longer meet current standards for accuracy, quality or policy are removed or unpublished.
How articles and guides are written
- Every article is written for this site and anchored to a featured video in our library; the writing is grounded in what that video actually shows.
- We write claim-light: no cure claims, no miracle language, no statistics we cannot stand behind. Where evidence is uncertain, the article says so.
- Articles carry the author's name and a "Last reviewed" date. Dates are truthful: a page shows the date it was actually last reviewed, never a cosmetic refresh.
- Sensitive topics are held to a higher bar and are reviewed by Dr. Ibrahim personally before publication.
Corrections
If you spot an error, email [email protected]. Factual errors are corrected promptly, and the page's "Last reviewed" date is updated when a correction is made.
Advertising and independence
- The site carries advertising (including Google AdSense) to stay free. Advertising is labeled as advertising and never influences which videos or articles are published or how they are written.
- Sponsored content, if ever published, will be labeled "Sponsored" at the top.
Not medical advice
Everything on MedicalVideos.com is for general education and information only. It is not medical advice and is not a substitute for professional diagnosis or treatment. Always seek the advice of your physician or another qualified health provider with questions about a medical condition. If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your doctor or 911 immediately.
