One of the most common knee injuries in contact and collision sports is a medial collateral ligament (MCL) injury. This is a ligament on the medial (side closest to the midline) side of your knee that provides stability against side-to-side stress to the knee. You might injure it by cutting maneuvers in sports like soccer or hockey. You can also suffer an MCL injury if another player hits you on the outside of your knee.

Unlike tears of the ACL, MCL injuries most often heal without surgery. You might need to wear a hinged knee brace for 2-6 weeks. The length of time you miss from sports or exercise varies depending on the location and severity of the injury.

Serious injuries, by and large, cause a lot of swelling in the knee. Especially in younger patients. Now, someone could be arthritic and they overdo it going for a big long hike and they get some swelling the next day. But rapid onset of swelling, it's like hard to make out where your kneecap is, is a pretty big cardinal sign that there's something serious that's happened to your knee. Rapid onset swelling is usually due to blood in the joint. "A meniscus that really tears and flips in the front. You tear your quad or your patellar tendon, your kneecap dislocates, you tear a little blood vessel, your ACL tears, a piece of cartilage in bone gets knocked off and causes bleeding. So a lot of the really significant injuries, people get rapid onset swelling within three to four hours and they should seek attention There's always exceptions to rules, but if your knee looks like a grapefruit, you should go get it checked.

It depends upon which ligament is injured. If it is medial collateral ligament you feel pain when you walk ,sit and stand and you will be liming as well. If it is anterior cruciate ligament you feel pain when you walk on uneven ground.

Hello! I am doctor Rajat Gupta. I am a boarded-certified plastic surgeon working in New Delhi. Let me tell you something about what is liposuction? Liposuction is the procedure to remove resistant areas of fat in your body and we deposit this fat component beneath your skin. So whatever areas you want to contour, can easily be shaped to your dream shape by removing such fat.

How is liposuction done?
Whatever area you want to contour, we make small holes of 3-4 mm. We put in some fluid that will melt and emulsify the fat that we want to remove and then remove this fat. At the end of the procedure, you can see how much fat we have removed and you can also see an immediate change in your body shape. Now, imagine you are removing fat is beneath your skin and this fat is actually beneath the skin and above the muscle. We also call this subcutaneous fat. When we remove this fat, we also want the skin to shrink and stick to the muscle behind so one needs to wear something known as compression garment for the next 4 to 6 weeks after surgery so that the skin shrinks and gives you a shape what you want.

What I help you achieve is an improved version of your own body shape. For a female, we can carve out an hourglass shape or an hourglass body so they look very aesthetics. The recovery from liposuction in Delhi under Dr. Rajat Gupta takes two weeks. After this, you return to normal and resume daily life completely. The most popular and one of the principal stains in histology is hematoxylin and eosin stain. It gives us an overview of the tissue and its structure. Hematoxylin binds with basophilic structures – for example DNA and RNA. So we can observe nuclei stained in blue or purple color. Eosin binds to acidophilic substances such as positively charged amino acid side chains. So as the result cytoplasm is pink or orange. All samples in laboratory are stained with H&E. There are several different types of hematoxylins and eosins used in histology which will give us different results.

Both aspects of plastic surgery are equally rewarding – cosmetic and reconstructive. That said, there is something about reconstructive surgery that feels amazing. Cosmetic surgery makes people feel comfortable in their bodies, yes. But reconstructive surgery makes people feel normal.

For a lot of people, deformities cause depression and other such mental and emotional burdens. It seems impossible that they will ever be a part of society. This is how Dr Anit felt for the first 36 years of his life as he lived with Microtia. He resigned himself to being made to feel different at a very young age and lived with that feeling. He and his family did not even consider treatment until much later in life.
This completely changed when he met Dr Rajat Gupta.

Over the course of several sessions, Dr Gupta earned Dr Anit’s trust. Dr Anit believed in Dr Gupta’s ability to fix his Microtia. It turns out, he was right. And so, after 36 years of living with a deformity, he finally got the ear reconstruction surgery in Delhi.
